First I pushed the brightness and contrast, then started painting. Made several paintings, then began to combine the scenes that worked best for various areas of the scene. I added detail to the background in some areas (such as the far end of the corridor) to raise interest.

Taken in 2001, this classic image of Capitola, CA, captures the quiet drama of a dying afternoon in a costal town. This image is from my Repainted Photographs series, which uses digital techniques on composited multiple photographic images to produce images bordering on abstraction.
